5m E-Graduated Levelling Staff

Description

A quality 5m E-Graduated Staff for use with Automatic Levels and Rotating Lasers.

This is the most commonly used Levelling Staff in construction.  It is mostly used in conjunction with rotating lasers and optical levels like the Topcon AT-B4 is the E-Graduated Staff.

The graduations on the E-Graduated Staff are in metres and centimetres which enable the surveyor or engineer to read the staff to an accuracy of around 1mm.  Alternating black and red colours are used to clarify each metre length of the E-Graduated Staff.

The major graduations occur at 100mm intervals and are denoted by figures, usually of a multiple of 100 (as seen on the staff to the left) or a multiple of 1000. The minor graduations are set at 10mm intervals and form coloured squares or intervening spaces. The lower 50mm of any 100mm block are joined by a band to form the distinctive E pattern which is designed to make reading a small section of the staff in the telescope easier.
