Cross Section Volumes

Calculating volumes by the cross-sectional method is very handy on construction projects like roads or slabs.  This is done by comparing two predetermined surfaces over a specific width and along an alignment.  From this we can determine the volume of material (usually seperated in 10m sections) for the given length and width.  The advantage of this method is that the average thickness of the road or slab construction.

We can also provide cross section drawings showing the make-up of the road or slab.
